Home Home 2005 Stories La Hacienda Grande Lewis & Clark
Lewis & Clark

Two hundred years past, just about this time of year, the Lewis & Clark Expedition was moving into what is now Montana, trying to avoid Blackfeets at every turn. On their voyage of discovery they passed through the very area of Montana where Charlie Sydnor and I worked for his Uncle Jack Brenner in southwest Montana for several summers back in the 60s.

The L&C bicentennial events are in full swing now and a big 5 day festival is planned in Dillon for Aug 5. Plumhoff and his lovely Sarah are flying into Missoula July 29 for several days camping & fishing up on the Divide between Montana & Idaho. I'm heading to Montana Aug 1 to visit up with them, Liz, & Tom at the old E4.

We'll take in some fishing, then, after Plum leaves, I'm taking in all the L&C festivities. Annee's not up to traveling quite yet, so she will stay to stupidvise construction. Hopefully she will be up to traveling by Labor Day so we can head back to Montana for Rodeo week.

Thats all for now-we'll keep you posted on the hacienda.

Love

Annee & Dee
