One week after movein, Bob and Sue Lipscomb from Culpepper,Va. showed up in the midst of a 3 week tour of the country. They were heading to visit their daughter in Denver and wanted to get a look at the much heralded Hacienda. We insisted that they stay over to test out the guest wing. After getting Lil Annee's 50cent tour, Sue expressed an interest to see Ouray, an old mining town tucked away in the mountains 40 miles south of us. So, I joined them as tour guide and took them down to tour the town and watch the ice climbers negotiate vertical descents into an ice covered gorge at the edge of town. Then we took a harrowing ride to the top of Red Mountain Pass. Sue was happy to get back to the bottom. 'Bout dark we got back to the Hacienda and christened our bar with first visitors. Annee had whipped up a great meal and the evening gave us a great opportunity to catch up with the Lipscomb's and what has been going on in Virginia. Next AM we were up early and Bob and Sue hit the road trying to beat the approaching snow blizzard to Denver. Sure enjoyed their short visit, and began wondering who would show up next??
