In July we were visited by Sidney Gunst, his wife Sheila, and son Sid, who , at just 12 years old is planning to be a weapons specialist for the Department of Defense. While here, he showed me how he was developing a Gatlin [ Gunst ] gun that will shoot down ICBMs.
Gaptooth Gunst Some of you may remember Sidney as the driving force behind the Innsbrook development in Richmond's West End. They had been to a conference at Telluride and stopped for an overnite visit on the way home. On just such a short visit, we had a fine time catching up and had lots of laughs. Lil Sid was enthralled with my gun collection and got to shoot a shotgun and my rapid fire paint ball gun. He could probably qualify for a Seal Team now.
Annee & The Gunsts For those in Richmond, a big roast is planned for Sidney out at The Place in Innsbrook on the evening of October 11. If there was anyone deserving of a well done roasting, it's Sidney. So, if by some chance you don't get your engraved invitation in the mail, just put that date down and crash the party. We're trying to arrange our October Richmond trip so we can be there! |
