Desert Mule Deer, Coues Deer, and Sonora Desert Sheep Hunts All take place in Sonora, Mexico out of Hermosillo. Frank Ruiz partners these hunts with his good friend Oscasr Molina of San Jose Trophy Hunts. All hunts begin upon your arrival in Hermosillo, where you will be picked up and transported to the ranch. All lodging, meals, transportation, drinks, 1x1 guide service, and capping/ skinning of trophys are included. DESERT MULE DEERMule Deer Hunts take place in the Sonoran Desert where the environment is ideal for this species. The terrain is mostly flat with rolling hills covered with mesquite and cactus. Hunts are day long hunts with a lunch break and siesta in the field. Mule Deer camps host 4 hunters per hunt. Over the last two seasons the success rate has been 96%. Most deer will average 170 points and several each year will exceed 200.
COUES DEERCoues Deer hunts take place in the Sierra Madre Mountains of eastern Sonora. Elevations to 7500’ and an abundance of oak and mesquite mixed with cactus and brush provide excellent habitat for an abundance of this species of Whitetail, found only in Arizona and Sonora. Hunts are all day with a lunch break and siesta. Average shooting range is 200 yds.
SONORA DESERT SHEEPHunts for North America’s most prized big game animal, the Sonora Desert Sheep, take place in the Southwest Sonora Desert on the private San Jose Ranch. Hunts take place on a vast 1000 acre mountain range. The average ram you can expect Is above 170 points and will qualify for the sci record book.
